Our store is free of clutter and well organised, giving each item room to shine. Also allowing us to sell your treasures at the best possible price for you. To keep our inventory fresh and current we are carefully selective when choosing items to display. Cleanliness, quality, and seasonal appropriateness are all very important. Prices are determined by the item's new retail price and current condition. We will sort through any items you bring to determine what we think we can sell on your behalf.
From August until January we accept Fall and Winter items.
From February to July we accept Spring and Summer items.
Bring in your gently used, freshly laundered items anytime during business hours. Due to the limited floor space, please limit this to one bag or basket per drop off. We will be able to sell more for you if you bring in a smaller amount on a regular basis rather than a large amount of items at once. When pre-sorting at home, remember to ask "Would I buy this at Polka Dot Pants?"
When you bring in items, we will sort them, make a detailed list of what we have accepted for consignment on your account and issue you a contract. We then price and display your items for 60 days. If they are unsold at 45 days, we reduce them to half price. You may reclaim any unsold items anytime up until 60 days, after which they become property of Polka Dot Pants.
We carefully track all items sold on your account and credit you with 40% of the sale price for items up to $50 and 60% for items over $50.
You may choose to donate your share of the sale price to the Cumberland Community Schools Society or Cumberland Community Forest Society. Your money will benefit these great causes, right here in Cumberland.
Now accepting a little bit of men's and a lot of women's casual clothing and accessories.
Items must be
- in excellent condition, stylish and current.
- freshly laundered and neatly folded
- "gently used" without stains, tears, worn patches, pilling, missing buttons, broken zippers or shredded pant legs
- Appropriate to the season. For exceptional items, we may be willing to purchase it at an agreed price so that we can carry it in the correct season.
